Hey all:
I've been thinking about doing this for a while, and for some reason decided to do it now (my feet are asleep and I'm too lazy to shift and move them so I decided to Get Stuff Done?).
I see some of you a lot, and I see some of you just a little, and I see some of you not at all. Some of you are new and some of you have been around for a while, and I'd like to get to know you all a little better. So if you have a minute, I'd love for you to drop me a comment on this post. Just something small about what's going on in your life, with school or your family or whatever book you're reading; something quick about your current fandom obsession or what brought you to friend me on lj.
So, that's it. I'm going to stop procrastinating and go take my shower in preparation for getting gross and sweaty hiking tomorrow. :)

Date: 2011-05-24 11:03 pm (UTC)1. My life's pretty good! I'm working for the school paper over the summer and doing some genealogy research. I think these are both things that are the perfect summer projects for me, as they're both fairly time consuming, but also fairly enjoyable.
2. I'm currently a little obsessed with Mad Men. :)
3. I friended you because you wrote a great Fred drabble. I loved Fred's character a lot - I think her development was one of the best we saw in Jossverse, although all of the characters developed quite a bit. (Whether that's good or bad is widely debated, so let's leave it at that, shall we?) :P

3. I love Fred's development. One of my favorite lines from ATS was at the beginning of S4, when everything was going so badly and Fred just bursts out "God, I am so sick of my chin being up!" She's such a sweet character, and one of the highlights of the later seasons for me.

Date: 2011-05-26 10:35 pm (UTC)I started Castle last year and also like it very much, especially for the team!banter and the Castle family relationship. What's your favorite part?

Date: 2011-05-28 10:12 pm (UTC)Same as you really. Castle's family is adorable and I love the team dynamic.

Date: 2011-05-26 07:02 am (UTC)I'm currently devouring books written by Stuart Macbride, "Blind Eye" is the one I'm with at the moment. Set in Aberdeen, Scotland, a Detective Sargeant working in an off-beat, rude, unfair, and foul-mouthed police station. Serial Killers are his specialty.
What? I gotta have a break from fantasy novels sometimes. :0)

3. Definitely on my list, but I'm not sure how long it will take to get there. What do you like about it?

Date: 2011-05-27 05:32 pm (UTC)2. Hope you enjoy it. It's amazing :D
3. Awesome. Well, it's nothing like any other show on TV. It has an amazing cast, including Matt Czuchry, plus a whole load of great guest stars. For me it's a few steps above everything else on TV right now.

Date: 2011-05-26 10:50 pm (UTC)I have seen evidence of the PONY obsession, and it's adorable.
I actually clearly remember the story of our meeting- good job on my part not being lazy and actually reviewing; good job on yours not being put off by my rambling insanity. :D
The Fred story was a drabble from back in March that was apparently more memorable than I thought. Here: http://open-on-sunday.livejournal.com/2725545.html.
Icon makes me sad because episode was so very sad, so I must combat it with my B/A fluffiness before I go to bed!

Date: 2011-05-27 04:35 pm (UTC)Thanks for the link - I didn't comment on that one! It's beautiful and such a sad look at poor Fred. Although, truth is I don't even know which episode my Fred/Wes icon comes from.
Here, more B/A fluffiness.
