In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Drop a link to your post in the comments.
According to my fanfic.net account, I’ve written 42 full-length fanfics. This list does not include my drabbles. What I’m trying to say is that I had a really hard time choosing. Because I’m really self-centered that way. So I decided to go with one Buffyverse, one Bones and one Veronica Mars, as those are my main fandoms.
I think that the fic that I am overall proudest of was my 2010 IWRY submission,
If I Forget Thee. It took a really long time to write (I just found a random paper with a piece of it from November 2009) and I still feel good about it.
I tend to base my fic around pairings. Those pairings also tend to be conservative because I am a fairly militant shipper. So I really like what I did in my Sweets-centric fic
From This Distance (Everything Is So Bloody Perfect). Booth/Brennan is there, but it’s in the background. The whole first part, which I published as a separate, original story in my high school literary magazine, is all about Sweets. This was also the first time I worked with second person, which I’ve been doing more lately.
Writing Veronica Mars fic probably came from reading so much of it. As usual, I stick mostly to oneshots. I think the one of these I like the best is
Tie A Ribbon Around His Heart. I consciously added a pattern to each part (Logan and Veronica’s daughter’s changing name; basing Logan’s life around Rosalynn’s age). I can’t tell whether readers picked up on them, but I liked sneaking them in.
