Fandom snowflake, day 14
So, I'm supposed to ask someone for help. And I choose all of you.
Lately I've been having a lot of doubts about my writing. It's hard as hell to get the words out and when I get them down, they look awkward and bad and I don't like them at all. So if any of you could leave a comment on something I've written in the past, that would be a great confidence booster for me.
If there are things that you don't like, I'd love for you to leave comments on them too. If I could find out what to fix in my fic, I might feel more confident in writing and posting it.
For those of you who do comment on my fic, I just want to give you a big THANKS for any times I might have neglected to reply to your comment, and a big THANKS AGAIN if I did. I reread the comments I get when I'm having a bad day, so it's only fair for you guys to get residual good vibes too.

Day 15
In your own space, share a favorite memory about fandom: the first time you got into fandom, the last time a fanwork touched your heart, crazy times with fellow fans (whether on-line or off-line), a lovely comment you’ve received or have left for someone. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
1) Bones rewatch with the Bones club last year. Not only was it a lot of fun and a great way to form a great group and convert them to my favorite show, it helped me put Show into better context and to see the shift to Booth-focus. Watching the Bones Club relive the torture of Aliens and Angela and Hodgins's separation (not to mention Angela/Wendell AKA The Worst Mistake Ever); crying on the floor over The Signs in the Silence; ironing our semi-disastrous shirts; three of us waking up early to watch The Hole in the Heart and then going on tiyul basically shell-shocked; watching The Change in the Game early and practically vibrating while waiting for the rest of the gang to watch so we could squeal over it and basically repeat over and over "Michael Staccato Vincent Hodgins, baby of the world" and "ohmigod, they're having a BABY!"...some of the best times in Israel.
2) I want to take a minute to remember the place where I met a lot of people on my flist for the first time: The ABY. For those who don't know, the ABY or Anti-Boneyard was a Bones fan message board that was an alternative to the Fox-run Boneyard. It was a place filled with Bones spoilers, speculation, graphics, fic, actor talk and more. There was also a ridiculously active chat thread about very little in particular. It was the first time I really interacted with members of fandom as people instead of as reviewers or fellow lovers of a particular ship or fandom. Although it is no longer around and I might be the only one, I still think about it sometimes.
3) (Also the fangirl ramble, which is a really fun way to rant and share B/A love and bounce theories and feeling back and forth, but which I put in parenthesis because I haven't gotten it back to
kairosimperfect in an embarrassingly long time. My spring break is coming up in a couple of weeks, so maybe then, K.)
And on that note...DONE WITH THIS MEME. New motto: better late than never. Or we could stop pretending that hasn't been my motto forever.
