In your own space, talk about a talent (or talents) you have.

I have a sense for languages. When I was learning French, I wasn’t great at memorizing the conjugations (also my downfall in Hebrew) but cognates and les faux amies were great for me. I’m good at roots and finding connections between words. When I was in elementary school, it was always such a joy for me to learn a new vocabulary word and realize that it related to a word I already knew. My one of my favorite units in sixth grade was when we talked about Latin roots. We were also studying the Civil War around the same time and I felt so proud when I realized that antebellum was made up of two of those roots.

(It’s not just Latinate or Romantic languages either. If I listen to a piece of Arabic dialog, I can usually pick out at least a few words because of my background in Semitic languages.)
